Moises Ospina joined Avantax Planning Partners in 2022 from Avantax Wealth Management, where he was Director of the South Central Region Growth Consulting team from 2018-2022. He helps families and business owners to honor the financial promises they have made to their loved ones and believes comprehensive financial planning and a tax-efficient approach are key tools to helping clients achieve their financial goals.
He joined Avantax Wealth Management in 2012 as a Fixed Income trader and then became a director with the Capital Markets team. He started his career in financial services as a credit analyst at Lloyds Bank in 1999 before joining JP Morgan Chase in 2003 as a fixed-income trader.
Moises earned his finance degree at Universidad Externado de Colombia and is a Certified Investment Manager Analyst (CIMA) and a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA). He holds Series 7, 63 and 53 securities licenses, and also a Texas Insurance State License.
Moises resides in Lucas, Texas, with his wife and three children. He loves rescue horses - they currently have four - soccer and traveling with his family.
