Nick Kruse

Nick Kruse joined Avantax Planning Partners in 2017 after graduating from college. In his role, he meets with clients to provide advice and recommendations to help them meet their lifelong needs and goals.
He started his career in financial services in the banking industry, working for three years at Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque, Iowa. He enjoys educating clients so they understand their financial situation and getting to know them personally as he tries to help them reach their financial goals. For Nick, watching clients who have worked hard for so many years finally be able to retire comfortably is why he continues to work in the industry.
Nick was a double-major in finance and business analytics at the University of Iowa. He is a Certified Financial PlannerTM and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is insurance licensed.
Nick resides in Dubuque with his wife, Alexis, daughter, Iris, and their two dogs. He enjoys reading - he and his wife are active in book clubs - and is a sports fan, especially the NFL and Dallas Cowboys. He stays active each day by either biking on his Peloton or going for a run and takes his dogs on daily walks.
